How does the rotation work?
The 2–2–2 cycle repeats two day shifts, two night shifts and two days off every six days. The 4–4 cycle repeats every eight days. A 24/48 shift starts every third day and may end the next morning. “Off” means no new shift starts on that date.
The cycle does not reset on Mondays or at the start of a month. Compare it with your employer’s approved rota; holidays, swaps and overtime are not added automatically.
